Dean Ahmad, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport

Assistant Vice President Dean Ahmad serves as an Assistant Vice President at DFW International Airport for the Transportation Business Unit.  In his role, Mr. Ahmad oversees parking operations, ground transportation, landside construction projects and strategic planning efforts. 

With revenues exceeding $180 million annually, the Transportation Business Unit is the largest source of non-aviation revenue within the world’s third-busiest airport.  Since implementing new innovative parking and transportation programs and streamlining operations, DFW Airport has achieved an impressive 120% revenue growth in the past ten (10) years.  Dean implemented the world’s largest airport valet operation which generates over $25 million annually.  Also, he was instrumental in establishing the nation’s first Yield Management System in an airport environment.

Mr. Ahmad currently serves as the Immediate Past President for the Texas Parking and Transportation Association (TPTA).  In addition, he is a Board member for the Greater Dallas Planning Council (GDPC).

Prior to his career at the airport, Dean was a successful entrepreneur in the furniture and
antique industry.   

Mr. Ahmad earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Baylor University and is
currently pursuing his MBA from Columbia Southern University.
