Eric Bailey, PE PMP has 20+ years of experience in the engineering field, specializing in public project delivery. Eric has a BS in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University and a Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University. Eric began his career managing infrastructure projects for the City of Santa Monica, California, transitioned to working as a consultant for Black & Veatch in Austin, Texas, and has been with the City of Austin for nearly eight years with roles in project management, supervision, and executive leadership.
Eric is currently the Acting Deputy Director of Capital Delivery Services, a department formed by the City of Austin to more effectively and efficiently manage the City’s $5+ billion CIP program including mobility, water, wastewater, watershed, parks, libraries, airport, and the convention center projects. The Capital Delivery Services department has 300+ employees including architects, engineers, inspectors, and surveyors and is focused on delivering capital projects for the City of Austin.
