San Antonio Bond 2012 Presentation:
The City of San Antonio’s Mike Frisbie, P.E., City Engineer / Director of the Capital Improvements Management Services Department (CIMS) will be conducting an information presentation on the City’s voter approved 2012-2017 Bond Program.
During Mr. Frisbie’s 25-year career, he has been involved in many programs and projects and has fostered much teamwork among agencies, consultants, and contractors. In San Antonio, Frisbie and his CIMS Team work with the engineering, architectural, and contracting community to produce excellent, long-lasting projects.
The City’s $596 Million Bond Program approved by voters on May 12, 2012 consists of 5 propositions improving or constructing new local streets, bridges, sidewalks, drainage facilities, parks, recreational facilities, libraries, and community center and museums. Many projects address infrastructure needs in a specific area while several have a regional or citywide benefit for all residents.
The $596 million bond program is divided into five propositions:
Streets, Bridges & Sidewalks Improvements – 41 projects – $337.44 million
Drainage & Flood Control Improvements – 17 projects – $128.03 million
Parks, Recreation, & Open Space Improvements – 68 projects – $87.15 million
Library, Museum, & Cultural Arts Facilities Improvements – 11 projects – $29.03 million
Public Safety Facilities Improvements – 3 Projects – $14.35 million
