1550 On the Green Tour RE-DO

Due to weather logistics we had to postpone the tour portion of 1550 on the Green.  We're excited to share that we've rescheduled this tour for Tuesday, June 18.  If you previously registered, we've already saved your seat, but do request that you RSVP! 

Join us as we tour the first skyscraper in the state of Texas.  The design for 1550 on the Green comes from the renowned minds of the visionary Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and the result is a 28-story Class A office building that will set a new standard for Houston office space. In addition, natural elements and greenery will pull the feel of Discovery Green throughout the building. 

HOUSTON’S MOST FORWARD-THINKING BUILDING

Join us as we tour the first skyscraper in the state of Texas.  The design for 1550 on the Green comes from the renowned minds of the visionary Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and the result is a 28-story Class A office building that will set a new standard for Houston office space. 1. Design and Amenities:

   • The building features a unique side-core design and expansive floor plates.
   • It aims to blur the boundaries between park space and office space, with natural light and greenery throughout.
   • The rooftop includes trees, adding to its sustainability and aesthetic appeal2

2. Sustainability and Certifications:

   • 1550 on the Green is being built to qualify for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum certification.
   • It also adheres to other high standards, including WELL Building Standard Platinum and Fitwel Three Star certification.
   • Notably, the building has a 48,000-gallon rainwater collection tank for flushing and irrigation, as well as a district cooling system34

1550 on the Green sets a new standard for Houston office space, emphasizing sustainability, natural elements, and a vibrant workplace environment.

Parking: Parking is available at Discovery Green or an adjacent street surface parking lot.

Meet Location: Enter the front building entrance on Lamar Street (facing Discovery Green).  We will meet in the lobby of the building.
